Bruce Marsh – Singapore

bruce-photoBruce has had a stellar international training career of over 30 years, training Group 1 winners in New Zealand, Australia and Singapore, making him a true master of his trade.

Bruce started his career as a leading New Zealand jockey and rode the Melbourne Cup winner, SILVER KNIGHT to victory early in his career in 1971.

On retiring from the saddle and taking up training, Bruce rose to the top of his profession through preparing Group 1 winners such as HAIL (New Zealand Derby, Zabeel Classic and Sandown Classic), RUSSIAN PEARL (Bayer Classic) multiple Group winner in Australia and New Zealand, CHEIRON and Magic Millions 2yo winner PLAY ON. Bruce travelled a lot of horses from New Zealand, having particular success in Melbourne and Brisbane.

Bruce relocated to Singapore in 2005 and has stamped his mark as great conditioner of horses in the country with Derby wins from HELLO AND GOODBYE and RACE AHEAD. In the 2011 season he trained Triple Crown winner GINGERBREAD MAN and the exciting up and coming RED BEARD.
