Promising 3 year old, Seize The Moment will step out over 1600 metres at Te Aroha on Monday and after two consecutive 2nd placings, connections are hopeful of him going one better and recording his maiden victory.
The son of Pins will be having his fourth race day start and with Opie Bosson engaged to ride, will be a nice chance if he receives luck in the running. He has been nominated for both the Levin Classic and the New Zealand Derby and the 1600 metres he will race over on Monday will suit him down to the ground. He is a half brother to Savour The Moment who looks set for a career defining season after he won the Listed Legacy Lodge sprint fresh up at his last start.
Syndicate manager, Albert Bosma holds this horse in very high regard and believes he is a group horse in the making. “His last two runs have been very good and he is learning all the time. He is a lovely big relaxed horse with plenty of ability and he has New Zealand Derby written all over him. He has derby winners through his pedigree and once the penny drops with him I think he can be a group horse”.
He is held in high regard and given his last two runs the “With The Dancer” syndicate certainly have plenty to look forward to with the exciting 3 year old, Seize The Moment.
