A great day had by all

A great day had by all

A very enjoyable open day for owners was held at Stephen Marsh’s Cambridge stable last week with about 38 owners turning up to see 13 horses paraded.

Cambridge turned on a beautiful day and the shady spots were the most sought after as mostly two year olds plus a few older horses were on parade from midday on. All the horses were turned out in fantastic order and all credit must go to Stephen and his staff for the way the horses looked. The two year olds in particular were great to see and as syndicate manager Albert Bosma said “It’s great for different owners to meet each other and to see first-hand what a great job is being done on the horses. It’s not all about race day and it is pleasing to see people get a thrill out of viewing their horses in the stable environment. We encourage owners to see their horses all year round and I think they will now go away with a real appreciation of the work that Stephen and his staff put in behind the scenes”.

After the horses were paraded and photos were taken, everybody got a chance to take a wander through the stables and inspect each horse and ask questions. It was a day that was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone and to be able to get a photo taken with your own horse was a highlight for many. Everybody had their own favourite and after getting up close and personal with ‘Crunchie,’ Dougie Bosma had certainly found his.
