Go Racing syndicators are thrilled to welcome Group 1 winning trainer Andrew Forsman to the GR stable.
Go Racing General Manager, Matt Allnutt says the addition of Forsman to their offering is another string to their bow.
“Andrew needs no introduction, his outstanding success as a trainer, both here and in Australia, speaks for itself. He celebrated his 1,000th winner this year and we are excited to have him join the team.
“With Go Racing going from strength to strength and demand continuing to grow, it makes sense to bring Andrew on board to expand our Cambridge-based offering to our owners.
Says Andrew, “I’ve known Matt, Albert and the Go Racing team for many years and rate what they do. The timing is right for us to do something together. It’s great to be part of the team and look forward to training some exciting horses for them.”
Andrew began his career under the tutelage of legendary Kiwi trainer Murray Baker and quickly forged his own reputation within the industry. In 2012 he became Murray’s co-trainer with the birth of Baker-Forsman Racing. Together they won four New Zealand Trainers’ Premierships and 24 Group 1 races, highlighted by champions Dundeel and Mongolian Khan.
In 2022 Andrew became a sole trainer and has continued the stable’s legacy, purchasing and training G1 winner Aegon, and, in 2024, he had his first Melbourne Cup runner – Positivity. He consistently has one of the best strike rates in New Zealand and the stable has travelled horses to the major Australian carnivals with great success, cementing his reputation on both sides of the Tasman.
Go Racing will be buying their first horses for Andrew at the Gold Coast Magic Millions and NZB Karaka yearling sales in January.
