Go Racing continued its early success as breeders with smart filly Zanotti running a strong second on debut at Cambridge over 1200 metres on the 3rd of July. The race was stacked with trial form and won very impressively by the Darci Brahma colt, Cauthen.
Says Racing Manager Albert Bosma “Her last 100 metres were her best and she will be even better stepping up to 1400 and 1600 metres as a three year old. She will prefer better tracks as well but is coping with slow surfaces.”
Her next start is likely to be the Listed Ryder Stakes for two-year-olds over 1200m at Otaki on 27 July. “We believe she is up to black-type company and has gone forward with her debut effort.” Said trainer Stephen Marsh. “She is likely to have a freshen up after this race.”
Go Racing had its first win as breeders in May with North And South (by Strategic Image out of Island Time) winning on debut. She races this Saturday at Wellington in a 1200 metre Special Conditions Maiden worth $20,000 and will then be freshened for spring racing.
