Albert Bosma and the Go Racing Team bought well at the Karaka Sales securing 16 of their next champions.

Says Albert “We are so pleased with the horses we have purchased and we stayed well within budget. Our top price was for a stunning Savabeel x Posy filly bought well under the odds at $260,000. As you can imagine, she was pretty much fully syndicated as she left the ring at that price.”

Meanwhile a Sacred Falls filly, out of Honolulu (pictured) had a massive pedigree upgrade the weekend after purchase.

Her half-brother – RELLSON- SACRED CAPITAL –  who was purchased for $580,000 at the 2016 Ready To Run sales was a stakes winner on the 3rd of February after running fourth in the Listed VRC Poseidon Stakes as a three-year-old. In comparison his half-sister was bought extremely well for just $140,000.

“We were rapt to get her – she is the perfect cross between Sacred Falls and Savabeel with her mother, Honolulu by Savabeel. She’s a real athlete with a bomb proof attitude that you need to get horses to the very top. The pedigree update is the icing on the cake.”

Trainer Stephen McKee knows good horse flesh when he sees it, “She’s a gorgeous filly with great scope, by a sire that has a massive rap on him. She will be an ideal three-year-old filly for the classic races of the One Thousand Guineas and the Oaks but has good two-year-old blood in her family so I wouldn’t be surprised to see her race in her two-year-old season.” There is only 20 % left in her and she is selling fast.

Go Racing were also thrilled to secure the half-brother to MAKTOUM who we currently race. “He’s by Sacred Falls, a sire everyone is talking about, and we know a lot about the family. We believe Maktoum is an out and out Group Horse and we are currently planning an Australian campaign with him.” There is just 20% in this Sacred Falls x Smitten Kitten colt still available.

There really is something here for all budgets – from an incredibly reasonably priced Ocean Park x Black Belt filly to be prepared by inform trainer Lisa Latta – to those going across the ditch to the stables of world champion racemare Winx where they will run for huge prize money under trainer Chris Waller.
