Heralding the change of season

Just as the weather is transitioning, so too are the Go Racing runners.

Scarlet’s Secret (Savabeel x Scaret Vanhara) saw out the last of the summer wine with a win at Hastings in the maiden 1200 metres.

Says trainer Stephen Marsh, “It was a great note to end on. She deserved the win and put a smile on everybody’s faces. She is a fast and talented filly and we can look forward to her four-year-old season with anticipation.”

North and South, meanwhile is heralding winter racing competing on Saturday at Trentham in the Dunstan Feeds Autumn Sprint Final, which is a Rating 85 1200 metres worth $50,000. Says trainer Lisa Latta, ”She’s backing up an impressive jump out win and should be very, very competitive in this field. She should love the track conditions.”

Go Racing  is also sponsoring a race at the Trentham meeting and Racing Manager Albert Bosma will be addressing the members at their annual members’ brunch interviewed by Des Coppins. Let’s hope the coffee is strong.
