We’ve reached that midway point between summer and winter. The yearlings have mostly been syndicated and many horses are going to spell for winter. Temperatures are still above average but this marvellous weather is very slowly starting to turn.
It’s time for our winter runners to shine.
We’ve got a new crop of three-year-olds who look best suited to a track with some cut in it: Nota Bene (Beneteau x Time to Move) and two with jumpouts this Friday – Ivy’s Gold and Frazzle.
Go Racing’s seasoned winter campaigners include Pinzano, Money Box, Mihaia (full brother to North and South), Stakes-placed Zanotti, Taipa Tiger (who will also probably hurdle this season) and finally North and South who absolutely loves it wet and bolted in in her jumpout in very wet conditions in Levin on Wednesday.
Finally, No Return who ran fourth fresh up, continues to race in Sydney over the next few months where tracks are better for longer.
Say Albert, “There is plenty there to keep the punters happy as we embrace the colder months. It is exciting having a winter team and this year we have more quality and numbers than before.”
Put a log on the fire, grab a good red and settle in for some fun.
