Go Racing feeling the love at Te Aroha

A thrilling quinella for Go Racing owners at Te Aroha on Wednesday in the Pearl Bonus fillies race confirmed two super smart fillies are on track for a brilliant three-year-old season.

Ruud Not Too (Bernardini x Too Many Diamonds) shares the same sire as Go Racing hall of fame Group 1 winner Ruud Awakening and many of the same syndicate owners. She made a welcome return to the track after a six month break in incredible style.

Says Racing Manager, Albert Bosma, “She ran fast and then ran faster! In fact, she came within 0.2 seconds of breaking the track record.”

Having showed mixed results in her trials leading up to the race, the addition of blinkers really switched her on and her performance is a good indication of her ability.

“We are confident she has more in store and is now aimed at the Group 2 Eight Carat Classic over 1600 metres at Ellerslie on Boxing Day worth $100,000.”

Equally as impressive was the run by Scarlet’s Secret (Savabeel x Scarlet Vanhara) coming from last against a track bias. Jockey Opie Bosson was excited by her performance. “She made up a lot of ground in the straight and her sectionals were outstanding.”

She will now be stepped up to 1400 metres at Ellerslie on 9 December in a maiden three-year-old fillies race. Based on her latest result it looks to be the ideal race for her. She will then be re-matched against her stablemate at the Eight Carat Classic on Boxing Day.
