The Go Racing team will be at the Karaka sales this week to buy a two-year-old ready to run horse bound for Singapore.
Racing Managers Albert Bosma and Matt Allnutt, will be joined by New Zealand trainers and leading ex-pat trainer Bruce Marsh who will fly in especially to inspect and purchase horses.
“Bruce has been successfully based in Singapore for over 10 years. He knows which horses will thrive there so you couldn’t want a better man on your team. He gives us a distinct advantage,” says Albert.
The horse will be Singapore bound following a brief educational preparation in New Zealand. Says Albert, “This is an excellent sale to buy horses for Singapore, as the lead in time to racing is much shorter than buying horses at the yearling sales. The racing in Singapore is exciting, and the prizemoney is outstanding, with maidens able to race for $75,000.”
A second horse to be purchased at the sale will remain in New Zealand and be trained by Stephen Marsh in Cambridge.
“We’ve done a fair amount of preparation for the sale and have identified good prospects that will be roughly in the $40,000 to $70,000 bracket. That’s good buying,” says Albert.
If you are interested in buying a share in either of these horses please contact Albert or Matt.
