Big results for Go Racing

For a relatively small operation, Go Racing boxes well above its weight with horse performance.

The operation buys between 10 and 13 yearlings at Karaka each year and has a high number of Group performers from this small pool.

This was reflected in the release of the Free Handicaps for the 2014/15 season with two colts making the top 10 for three-year-olds up to 1600 metres. Passing Shot was fourth after a number of Group performances culminating in a win in the Group 3 BMW Mr Tiz Stakes. Prince Mambo was ninth after finishing second in the Group 2 Hawkes Bay Guineas and third in the Group 1 Two Thousand Guineas.

Both colts are now entires and will be back this season. Passing Shot will have the Group 1 Railway Handicap and Group 1 Telegraph Handicap as his two main summer aims, while Prince Mambo will be back on the track in the New Year.

Rounding out the free handicaps was No More Tears who had one start for a win in the Listed Hamilton Vet Stakes as a two-year-old. She will resume in the Group 3 Gold Trial Stakes this Saturday with her spring goal being the Group 1 One Thousand Guineas at Riccarton in November.
