Runs in the Family
Fourteen year old Mia Vinaccia was her dad’s good luck charm at the Karaka Sales in 2013. It was there that she fell in love with an O’Reilly filly, a horse her dad Pat and Albert Bosma also had on their list.

They purchased the yearling for $72,500 and the syndicate of owners agreed – there could only be one name for her – Mia’s Choice.

Tomorrow, Mia’s Choice will resume as a three year old at Counties in a Maiden 3 YO, 1200 metres.

Says Albert, “She had one very promising start as a two year old where she was only just beaten. She trialled a couple of weeks ago for another good second. So it should be third time lucky tomorrow if trainer Stephen Marsh can overcome his Counties curse.”

“She’s drawn barrier 5 and Danielle Johnson will ride. She will be a strong each way chance tomorrow and we have black type races in mind for her.”
