The National Yearling sales series commence at Karaka on Monday and runs until the 5th of February.
I have now inspected a great majority of the yearlings, as have each of our trainers. Over the next two days we will cross-reference our shortlists and draw up a list of horses that make our ‘A’ list.
These horses will then be vetted and have their x-rays screened by our vets. This will give us a final list to bid on.
Another important factor for us is to buy them for what we think is fair value. This will give us the opportunity to trade them at a profit as racehorses if we want to, or allows them to retain high residual value as broodmares at the end of their careers.
I will be buying yearlings for Stephen Marsh in Cambridge; Andrew Scott at Matamata; Lisa Latta at Awapuni and Riccarton; Chris Waller in Sydney and Bruce Marsh in Singapore.
If you would like to have a share in one of the yearlings we buy this year e-mail me at albert@goracing.co.nz or call me on 027 2037774 and I will contact you as we make our purchases throughout the sale.
Kind regards
Albert
