Thrilling winter galloper, North and South, will compete in the listed weight for age Tauranga Classic for fillies and mares this Saturday worth $50,000.
Say Albert Bosma, “She thrives in the heavy conditions and has won five races from 14 starts. This will be her first start in black type company and a win will be important for her breeding value.”
Trainer Lisa Latta is pleased with how her campaign is progressing but warns there will be a couple of things against her in the race, “It’s her first trip away from home and the first time going round right handed. But she will have regular rider Robbie Hannam to guide her and there is no question she’s up to the task on ability.”
“The 1400 metres suits her down to the ground. It’s the perfect distance for her at this point in her campaign.”
