Trained Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young, Melbourne
By explosive sire ALABAMA EXPRESS, this is a fast colt with the pedigree to match. ALABAMA EXPRESS’ yearlings sold up to $850,000 at Karaka and averaged $358,000 such was his popularity.
He has had a spectacular start to his stallion career and is the sire of 4 x Group 1 winner TREASURE THE MOMENT and the very fast ALABAMA LASS He stood last season for A$66,000 (NZ$76,000) and served a record 21 Group 1 winning mares, including ATISHU and VELOCIOUS.
Our colt’s dam FOREST CAT is a half-sister to the Australian Group 2 winner and Group 1 placed two-year-old LOOK TO THE STARS, while his second dam STAR PRIZE is also a Group 2 winner and full sister to multiple Group 1 winner STAR RUNNER.
He is a grouse colt with presence and is VOBIS series nominated, so will not only run for great prize money and A$21 million in bonuses in Melbourne, but has been Karaka million nominated also, which looks a good target.
The progeny of ALABAMA EXPRESS train on, so this colt is exciting and will give us a lot of fun for a long time.
