Zacinto x Fascinate Me Yearling Colt

Trained by: Andrew Carston, Christchurch

Zacinto x Fascinate Me Yearling Colt
A cracking colt by an exciting sire, he is closely related to Wellington Guineas winner EMILY MARGARET

Zacinto is an exciting sire whose progeny are proven in New Zealand and Australia. With his oldest crop just 5YO’s, he has already left Group 1 winner of the Two Thousand Guineas UGO FOSCOLO, multiple Stakes winner and one of the three-year-old fillies of this season SECRET ALLURE, two-year-old Stakes winner ZIGWIG and Australian Stakes winners VASSILATOR and ODEON.

This is the first foal of FASCINATE ME. FASCINATE ME was a winner as a two-year-old and is a half-sister to this season’s Group 2 Wellington Guineas winner EMILY MARGARET, who has won three stakes races and will be crowned South Island Filly of the Year, so is very current. His second dam SEVEN SCHILLINGS was a Group 3 winner and second in the Group 1 Diamond Stakes as a two-year-old. FASCINATE ME is also a half-sister to HEPTAGON who has won seven races and $300,000 to date in Australia. It is the family of Derby runner-up and multiple Group 1 placed Kajema and the very fast Stakes winner EIGHT SCHILLINGS.

Physically he is a cracker. He is correct, well balanced and a good size. He is very athletic and a lovely walker. He looks like a horse that can race as a two-year-old, with the Group 1 Two Thousand Guineas as a three-year-old over a mile in November an ideal target for him.

A lovely style of horse with a great pedigree. Zacinto is doing a great job in New Zealand and Australia and you can see why when he leaves foals like this.
