Excellent Debut From Attivaree

The well bred 2yo filly Attivaree (O’Reilly – Activate) commenced her career at Woodville on Saturday the 28th of April with a strong 2nd that hinted at a very promising career.

From the outside barrier she jumped in midfield and with a very good ride settled on the fence four lengths off the leaders. She improved quickly on entering the straight and accelerated to take the lead in the space of 100 metres. This proved her undoing as she got a bit lost when in front and gawked around drifting out a little. Once she was headed and saw the leader again, she charged after her and ran her to a short neck.

She was beaten by race experience but has a lot of ability and has shown Lisa Latta plenty at home on the training track. She has come through the race well and he legs are nice and cold with no signs of shin soreness.

She will have her 2nd race day start at Hawera on teh 17th of May ina  Maiden 2yo 1200 metres.
