He Sure Is makes It Two In A Row

Exciting 4yo He Sure Is showed that his big maiden win at Dargaville was no fluke as he franked his form with a tough win at Hawkes Bay on Thursday when stepping up to Rating 65 grade.

He had to sprint from his outside draw to get to the front, and then was taken on down the back straight. He took a trail and sprinted from the top of the straight for the third time in the race to lead and was then challenged. He showed how tough he is by fighting off two challengers and he pulled away again on the line, to win narrowly but convincingly for jockey Opie Bosson.

He looks like 1600 metres will suit him perfectly at this stage and he will step up to a Rating 75 1600 metres at Tauranga on the 2nd of January.
