Ruud Awakening Karaka Million Bound

Brilliant 2yo Ruud Awakening is back in training after a short freshen up. A scintillating winner on debut at Avondale by 5 ¼ lengths, she backed this up with a 2 ½ length victory in The Listed Wellesley Stakes at Trentham on the 27th of October over 1000 metres.

She then raced in The Listed Murdoch Newell Stakes at Counties, where she was held in the barriers and missed the start. Last for much of the race she hooked to the outside and ran the winner to a neck, with 7 ½ lengths to 3rd. She is a special filly.

She was given a break after this to freshen up and has matured in her time away from the stables. She will have one run leading into the Karaka Million at Ellerslie on the 12th of January in a 2yo Handicap over 1200 metres.
